Wedding Program Template — Free, Editable, Yours in Minutes

A wedding program template gives you a finished starting point instead of a blank page: a balanced layout for your welcome line, your names, your date and your order of the day, ready to restyle. Your names and date are already in place — you add your schedule and adjust from there.

This page is about editing the design — layouts, fonts and colors. For the words to put on it, see wedding program wording; for sizes and printing, see printable wedding program. Note this is the guest-facing card, not your planning timeline.

Your names and date are pulled from your project details, so the template opens already filled in — no retyping and no typos slipping through to print.

The template inherits the same fonts and colors as the rest of your day-of stationery, so your program matches your menus, place cards and signs automatically.

Set the look once and reuse it: the same typography carries to your welcome sign and other pieces, so the whole day feels designed, not assembled.

PLANNING . WEDDING — is easy to remember and even easier to use.

How the Template Works

The template is a live, generated design — not a flat file you overwrite. You change settings, the program re-renders, and the export is always print-ready.

  • Open the program template in your project — your names and date are already set.
  • Add your schedule — each line is an event, a time and an optional short note.
  • Pick a base layout — centered, two-column (times beside events), or an icon list.
  • Swap the font pairing — a serif or script for the names with a clean supporting face for the schedule.
  • Recolor the ink and background to match your palette.
  • Download the print-ready PDF at your chosen size, with bleed and crop marks.

What You Can Edit

Every element is adjustable, but the defaults are already balanced — a beautiful program is a few clicks away, with full control if you want it.

  • Welcome line — wording, size and placement above or below your names.
  • Names and date — first names or full names, ampersand or “and”, date spelled out or numeric.
  • Schedule lines — add, remove or reorder events, edit times and the one-line notes beneath each.
  • Decorative elements — a divider, sprig, monogram or small motif between sections.
  • Colors and extras — ink and background, plus optional welcome, thank-you or memorial lines.

Layout Options

Three layouts cover almost every program. Switch between them with one setting — your content reflows automatically.

  • Centered — event, time and note stacked and centered. The classic, most flexible look.
  • Two-column — times in one column, events in the other. Crisp and easy to scan.
  • Icon list — a small icon beside each event (rings, camera, glasses, cake). Playful and quick to read.

Live Data — Why an Editable Template Beats a Static One

An Etsy or Canva template is a static file. Once you’ve typed your details in, every later change — a new time, a corrected spelling, a swapped event — means reopening the file and re-exporting, and remembering which version is final.

Our template stays connected to your project. Update a detail anywhere and the program reflects it. There’s only ever one current version, and it’s always print-ready.

Match It to the Rest of Your Suite

The program is one piece of a larger picture. When it shares fonts and colors with your other stationery, the whole wedding looks intentional.

Choose your typography once at the project level and it flows to your menus, seating chart sign and welcome sign — so every printed piece feels like part of one set.

Why Our Template Is Free and Better

No purchase, no sign-up, no watermark. You design as much or as little as you like and export a high-resolution PDF for any size or format.

Because it’s generated from your project rather than hand-edited, the template is collaborative, always current, and coordinated with the rest of your wedding by default — something a one-off downloaded file simply can’t do.
